ALTER, as ESA's Coordinated Procurement Agency, will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and testing of all electronics and technologies to be used by payload equipment manufacturers. EnVision, an ESA/NASA mission, will explore Venus to understand how it differs from Earth. It will seek to reveal its evolution, geological activity and atmosphere, investigating from the core to the upper atmosphere. It is scheduled for launch in the early 2030s and will embark on a 15-month journey to Venus.
