Built by Thales Alenia Space, SES-17 features a 200 GHz digital transparent processor, the only one of its kind in orbit to date, and a high speed link developed in Spain (Hilink), which enables to dynamically allocate the satellite capacity and interconnect its 200 user beams, adapting to changing customer needs in real time.
SES-17 will provide communications services over North and South America, the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean.
