Alejandro Sabán, an industrial PhD candidate at GTD, is spearheading research as part of the European SALTO project to optimize space launch processes. His work focuses on creating an autonomous destruction system for launch vehicles, replacing traditional supervision methods and reducing costs. GTD, in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and a consortium of 25 companies, aims to transform space access through sustainability, rocket reuse, and enhancing Europe’s competitiveness in the global space industry.
