Airbus in Getafe has new facilities of some 14,000 m2 dedicated to the design, production, integration and testing of complete satellites, payloads, instruments and subsystems. Among them is the new clean area for satellite integration with a surface area of 3,500 m2 that includes 10 control rooms to integrate 10 different satellites. The first programmes to be integrated in this clean area are: SpainSat-NG, LSTM and SMILE.
