The ESA’s Proba 3 mission, led by Sener, has successfully obtained the first images of the solar corona. After autonomous maneuvers carried out in May, the two satellites of the mission maintained their positions to millimetre accuracy. This technological feat enables artificial solar eclipses up to six hours long, producing unprecedented data to study coronal phenomena in detail impossible from Earth.
