SATLANTIS was recently selected to join Copernicus, the EU’s flagship programme for Earth Observation, as a Copernicus Contributing Mission (CCM). Its GEISAT Precursor satellite in orbit, dedicated to methane greenhouse gas emissions detection and mitigation, will supply data for atmosphere monitoring services. The CCMs contracts, signed by ESA in partnership with the European Commission with the emerging European New Space companies, underscore their importance of agility and innovation in the Space industry.
