The European Space Agency has selected our colleague PABLO ALVAREZ FERNANDEZ, Project Management Officer in Getafe, who becomes the second Spanish astronaut, after Pedro Duque. Pablo will join the European Astronaut Center in Cologne in April 2023. After completing 12 months of basic training, they will move on to the training phase on the Space Station and, subsequently, their training will be adapted to the mission assigned to them.
One of the next ESA astronauts is an Airbus employee!
