It was entitled \u201cThe Need for regulating the Spanish space sector.\u201d\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-34a9e28 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"34a9e28\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThis first congress offered an overview of the most important aspects of the Spanish space sector in relation to the convenience of regulating space activities and the Space Law, as well as the urgent need to create a Spanish Space Agency.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-85c48db elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"85c48db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHere, the President of TEDAE, Ricardo Mart\u00ed Flux\u00e1, participated in the opening of the Congress, stressing that \u201cspace has now become just another geographical area and, therefore, the law and its application are an essential need (...) The launch of satellites, the exploitation of asteroids or planets, the coexistence at the space station and the buildup of space junk leads to a series of legal matters that must be studied and addressed,\u201d he added.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c5d9bf9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c5d9bf9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFocusing on the space sector, Mart\u00ed Flux\u00e1 highlighted its important efforts to become a \u201cstrategic sector for society and the Spanish economy\u201d that \u201cwith effort and the support of the public sector, it has gone from being systems supplier to taking part in every stage in the lifecycle of space products.\u201d\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d160c5d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d160c5d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHowever, \u201cnew technologies are now a key element in driving our industry,\u201d a space industry that \u201cis digitalized, interconnected and sustainable, and will continue being necessary in an increasingly complex and digital world.\u201d\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ce19395 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ce19395\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"wp-image-651\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/proespacio.tedae.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/actualidad-congreso-juridico-2.jpg?w=788&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Teresa Riesgo\" \/><\/figure>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b66d476 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b66d476\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThis is why the President of TEDAE stressed \u201cthe need for an Aerospace PERTE (Strategic Recovery Project) that will enable us to face the challenges before us\u201d with the support of \u201cthe European recovery funds, which must be an aid to support the transformation of leading sectors, such as space.\u201d In relation to this, he characterized the creation of a Spanish Space Agency as \u201ca guarantee to continue the space activities.\u201d\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2a3a0f7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2a3a0f7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFurthermore, Mart\u00ed Flux\u00e1 highlighted the role of today\u2019s industry in \u201cbeing capable of training the next generation of experts in the new technologies to come and connect students with the companies and companies with research.\u201d\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8761d80 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8761d80\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe President of the Spanish Institute of Engineering, Jos\u00e9 Trigueros Rodrigo; the President of Asociacion Espa\u00f1ola de Derecho Aeron\u00e1utico y Espacial, Elisa Gonz\u00e1lez, and the professor of the Department of Administrative Law of Complutense University of Madrid, Fernando Gonz\u00e1lez Botija, participated in the opening event of the Congress alongside the president of TEDAE.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dda566e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dda566e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThis first Congress saw roundtables that discussed the need for a Spanish space law, the political opinion of the Congress of Deputies, with representatives from the main political parties, as well as the international outlook of the sector with space business and the challenges and opportunities in the Spanish space sector with the matter of the creation of a Spanish Space Agency in the horizon.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c3e9dfe elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c3e9dfe\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBusiness opportunities in the realm of space and its international context were analyzed to raise political awareness about a basic, essential and strategic sector with a great ability to grow and which significantly benefits society as
