It set out to catch the Starship Super Heavy booster \u2013 the tallest and most powerful rocket ever built \u2013 and it succeeded... on the first try. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f97787f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f97787f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe test took place in the morning of 13 October. Propelled by its 33 Raptor engines, the Super Heavy booster, carrying the uncrewed Starship spacecraft, lifted off SpaceX\u2019s Boca Chica installation to perform an unprecedented set of manoeuvres. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e4bb335 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e4bb335\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe rocket, over 120 metres tall, climbed for two and a half minutes until it reached an altitude of 70 kilometres at a horizontal position \u2013 expending most of its propellant \u2013 and separated from the Starship spacecraft located at the top. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b63faf6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b63faf6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAt this point, Super Heavy started manoeuvring to orient itself towards the launch pad. As it approached, the arms of the 140 metre \u201cMechazilla\u201d tower smoothly closed until it was caught mid-flight.
