Successful launch of Sentinel-2C

The Sentinel-2C satellite, manufactured by Airbus, was successfully launched in September from Kourou in French Guiana. The third Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite, which will enter into service in low-Earth orbit at 780 km, will replace Sentinel-2A and operate in tandem with Sentinel-2B. Equipped with a high-resolution multispectral imager, the satellite will collect key images for a wide range of applications, from agriculture to water quality monitoring.
