The platform and thermal infrared instrument of the LSTM satellite have begun their integration at the Airbus facilities in Spain. Functional tests are being carried out on the platform and the instrument’s detection chains are being integrated. LSTM is the first Copernicus programme led by Airbus in Spain with extensive participation from the national industry. Its data will improve the efficiency of water use in agriculture, supporting water resources and agricultural productivity.
