CNES awarded the EU SST Attitude Analysis Experimentation contract to a consortium led by Aldoria and another French company. From September 2025 to June 2026, they will develop algorithms to determine the orientation of active/inactive space objects, combining optical, radar, and passive RF data with machine learning. The project aims to improve attitude estimation, optimize observation strategies, and launch an operational service six months later, with support from Quasar Science ResourcesS.L., ONERA, and AIRA.
