Hisdesat has signed an agreement with Airbus Defence and Space Spain to manufacture the new PAZ-2 radar satellites for the Ministry of Defence. These satellites, which will replace the PAZ in service since 2018, will increase operational capacity sixteenfold, improve resolution to a few centimetres and triple daily coverage. Manufacturing, testing and integration will be carried out in Spain, with 65% national participation. The first is expected to be operational in 2031.
