The Spanish Space Agency now has its own identifying emblem. Minister of Science, Technology and Universities, Diana Morant, presented the logo of this organisation in Seville last 4 October before close to a hundred sector representatives.
An eye-catching emblem that, while not free from controversy, aims to represent “the mission of bringing back to Earth the result of that which we obtain in space”, the minister explained.
Diana Morant highlighted the fact that the Spanish Space Agency “is already leading the space activities” of the country with the boost afforded by the Aerospace PERTE, supported by European recovery funds, which is “already fully underway”.
The Minister of Science also referred to Seville – where the agency is headquartered – as “one of the most important Aeronautical industry innovation hubs in Europe”, with over one hundred companies of the sector.
To strengthen this status, Morant announced that from this city, the Space Agency will “begin a project involving infrastructure, facilities and research teams” from across all territories to foster a “joint effort that leverages all of Spain’s potential” in the Aerospace sector.

New Incubator

Another of the ministry’s plans for the city of Seville is the creation of a new Aerospace company incubator, which will join the network that already exists in similar facilities in Madrid, Barcelona, Castellon and Castile and León. The network will count with two other establishments in 2025 to be defined in a new call for bids.
