Last October, Hubble’s scientific instruments entered a safe mode configuration, suspending all scientific operations after throwing error codes that pointed to multiple synchronization message losses. The Space Telescope team recovered the instruments one by one and, since December 7, the telescope is operating once again with its four active instruments collecting data.
Hubble has been operating for over 31 years, making scientific observations that have changed our understanding of the universe. With the launch of the James Webb telescope, expected for late this month, both observatories will work together, expanding our knowledge of the cosmos.
La industria española jugará un papel destacado en los futuros descubrimientos a través de su contribución a los instrumentos MIRI y NIRSpec proporcionados por la ESA a la NASA para el telescopio James Webb.
